As misunderstood as it is mistrusted, the Scorpion Clan
is the greatest repository of secrets in Rokugan. While the Crane are
the left hand of the Emperor and the Lion are the right, the masked
samurai of the Scorpion are the underhand of the Emperor, dutifully
and brutally executing those vile and tasteless deeds that are beneath
the honor of the one who sits on the throne. Consorts of ninja and
scholars of poison, the Scorpion are said to know every secret, see
through every trick, and lie in wait two layers deeper than any
uncovered mystery. Though hated across the land, no one risks angering
a Scorpion.
